Next Stop, Spring! – Memory Road

Next Stop, Spring!

Posted by Paige Daugherty on

Spring is right around the corner and that means so many changes are on the horizon. Although it’s not as exciting to think about losing an hour of sleep, we have warmer weather to think about! The idea of Spring brings the idea to refresh after the cold, dreary Winter months. This could mean putting into action some of your New Year's resolutions, Spring cleaning or getting outside more. Regardless, Spring brings so much excitement and a different energy to light.

Here are some ideas of things that you can kick start this Spring:

Easter
When you think of Spring, typically one of the first things that comes to mind is Easter. Along with Easter comes those Easter baskets that we all know and love. If you are trying to think of unique items that you can add to your kids, grandkids & adult baskets, then you are in the right place! Our Remember When, Pages of Time and Yearbook KardLets® would make the perfect addition. You can make their baskets even more personal and get them a KardLet® from the year that they were born! This will help them learn about the major historical events, top songs and movies, cost of living, and sports events from the year they were born. Learning mixed with gifting!

Gardening
Spring is the season to get your hands dirty, whether you’re preparing to plant some veggies for your family or prettying up that garden with colorful flowers. Gardening brings a feeling of some newness with a fresh start.

  • Flowers that you should plant this Spring: Crocus, Daffodil, Primrose, Tulips or Pansies.
  • Veggies to add to your garden: Broccoli, Cabbage, Collards, Kale, Parsley or Spinach.

Spring Cleaning
I think we all heard the words “Spring cleaning” growing up. If you were a kid, you probably dreaded those words, while your parents were excited to have your help. Spring cleaning is the perfect time to discard unnecessary items that have been piling up. Here are some Spring cleaning tips and tricks to have your home sparkling.

Spring Break
Spring break… the time of year that we all know and love. This time of year is when college kids head on their Spring break vacations and families pack up their car for a road trip. Regardless of where you’re going or how far you are traveling, the boredom of the trip there starts to set in. That’s where Memory Road comes in to cease the boredom! Our KardLets® are the perfect way to pass time on your trip. With all the information about world news, events, pop culture facts, hottest “IT” couples, products, fashion and fads, this makes for some great road trip trivia. If you’re competitive, keep track of the scores and create a prize for the winner once you reach your destination!

Soak up those Extra Hours of Daylight
The weather is getting nicer and the days are getting longer. This means that it is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy. Ways to get outside and embrace the long days and warm weather:

  • Take a walk around your neighborhood
  • Go hiking
  • Eat at your favorite local restaurant and eat on the patio
  • Have a picnic
  • Join a local sports league
  • Read a book outside - While you’re taking a stroll outside, you can also take a stroll down memory lane with our Remember When, Pages of Time or Yearbook KardLets®
